1.

What can I expect during my first guided meditation?
Welcome! We’re delighted to have you with us. Here’s what you can expect as you join your first session:

  • Guided by Our Founder, Juliet
Your meditation will be led by Juliet, the founder of Effortless Oasis. Her calming guidance will help you ease into the experience, even if it’s your first time.

  • Punctuality Matters
Our sessions start promptly, so please join the Zoom meeting on time. We understand life happens, so we allow a 2-minute window for late arrivals. If you miss this window, you’ll need to reschedule, which our community members can easily do through the website.

  • Preparing for Your Session
Before the session, find a quiet, comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed for 30 minutes. Choose a seat that supports your back and allows your neck to move freely. Dimming the lights can also help create a more peaceful atmosphere.

  • During the Meditation
Simply relax, follow the guidance, and enjoy the experience. There’s no right or wrong—just allow yourself to be present.

  • After the Session
You’re welcome to stay for a brief debrief with Juliet, where you can ask questions or share your experience if you have the time.

2.

I can’t concentrate for long, and I’m nervous it won’t go well.
There’s no need to worry—you’re in great company! The meditation we practice is called effortless meditation, which means there’s no need to force concentration or try to achieve a particular state. Instead, we guide you through a simple, natural process. During our sessions, you’ll experience how easy and calming it can be. Just relax and let it unfold—there’s no pressure.

3.

I've fallen asleep in meditations, is this a bad thing?
If you've fallen asleep in your meditations it means that your body is telling you that it needs it. It's not a bad thing. Your body is just doing a natural thing to do. Or that you have fallen into that nice state of between sleep and awakeness where time just doesn't seem to exist.
Don't worry, once you have woken, simply come back to listening to the meditation

Can I do the meditations lying down?
Absolutely! You can meditate while lying down; however, we recommend starting in a comfortable seat with your back supported and your head free to move. When you lie down, your body may relax so deeply that it signals to your brain that it’s time to sleep, which is a natural response. For this reason, trying it on a comfy chair can be beneficial. That said, if sitting isn’t feasible for you at the moment, feel free to lie down—it’s perfectly fine.
